L'anatomia nel piatto. ANATOMICA by THE NEW ENGLISH COLLECTION. Anatomy on your plate.

The marvellous human body machine. Its organs and systems and how they work. Still a mystery in the 1800. The New English Collection rethinks fine English ceramic and with it, the fascination for Arts and Science at the beginning of nineteenth century. When everything has still to be discovered.

FRANCA VALERI. Una signorina snob, bugiarda no, ma reticente. A snob young lady, not untruthful, but reticent.

Two wide open eyes, full of life. With irony.
Pleasantly posh in the character of  The Snob Young Lady from Milan, funny and folk in Mrs Cecioni. It's she, the divine Franca Valeri.

ALFRED ESEINSTAEDT. La rapacità di un fotografo. Rapacity of a photographer.

Fulmineo. Invisibile. Eppure fotografo rapace. Alfred Eseinstaedt fu maestro assoluto dello scatto rubato e pertanto, maggiormente rivelatore.

Lightening. Invisible. A rapacious photographer. Alfred Eseinstaedt was a master of the stolen click and consequently more revealing. His photographic eye seems to creep, unobtrusive even not seen and catching the real nature of the humankind.

SU BLACKWELL. Storie di carta da libri di carta. Paper stories from paper books.

C'è chi invece, come Su Blackwell, fa nascere altre storie dai libri. Storie di carta.

"Unless they are taken away from the readers, books are really dead things". It's Lawrence Clark Powell speaking, librarian and author of more than 100 books. He knew a lot about books. He passed the whole life among books left for years onto the shelves of the library and he saw them going and coming back, taken and brought back by council readers.
Only in this way, only if read a book could come back to life. Otherwise it was a dead thing, a useless one.
But there's someone like Su Blackwell who creates stories from books. Paper stories.
