Un terribile mostro marino dall'aspetto minaccioso, che nella sua immobilità risulta ancora più indecifrabile nelle intenzioni. Stritolare? Soffocare la preda con i suoi mille tentacoli? No, illuminare semplicemente il buio. E' Cirrata, la lampada leggera e spiritosa, disegnata da Markus Johansson.

A dreadful sea monster with a threatening look, so fixed that is even more inscrutable in its purposes. To crush? To choke the prey with thousands of tentacles? No, just to light up the dark. It's Cirrata, the glowing and funny lamp, designed by Markus Johansson.


Sembra un enorme polpo, impetuoso e malvagio, che si annida nelle cavità degli abissi in attesa della preda. Ma è solo apparenza. In realtà, proprio come nella spensierata canzone Octopus's Garden dei Beatles, è una creatura docile e benevola. Una lampada che illumina il buio degli abissi, non solo marini. 

Realizzata in Corian, Cirrata è un progetto del giovane designer Markus Johansson, che ha voluto sperimentare ed illustrare, nella declinazione di diverse forme e colori, la straordinaria versatilità di questo materiale.
Una lampada che stupisce per essenzialità e leggerezza, ma soprattutto per l'immediata simpatia che sa suscitare in chi si perde nel vortice dei suoi ipnotici tentacoli.

It looks like a huge octopus, impetuous and hellish, that hides away in the depths of the sea waiting for its prey. But it's all show. Indeed, as in the happy Beatles' song "Octopus's Garden", it's a cute and lovely creature. A lamp that lights up the darkness of the depths, not only of the sea. 

Made out of Corian, Cirrata is a project by the young designer Markus Johansson, whose thought is to try out and show, in different shapes and colors, the extraordinary versatility of this material. 
A lamp that stands out to be essential and light, but above all to be so funny to who gets lost in starring at its hypnotic tentacles.
