Cose vecchie che abitano i solai e le cantine dimenticate. Impolverate e deteriorate dall'incuria, dal tempo e dalla polvere che le ricopre e consuma.
James Plumb (Hannah Plumb e James Russel, coppia creativa e nella vita) le scova, le studia e le assembla, creandone oggetti "nuovi" sia nella forma che nella funzione.
Le sue creazioni vengono appunto definite "assemblaggi", perchè gli oggetti che ne nascono sono frutto di un'unione di parti che solo il genio creativo puù generare. Non potrebbero nascere in altro modo.
Intrisi del fascino del passato, questi complementi d'arredo, siano essi lampadari o mobili, ove collocati, attribuiscono allo spazio calore ed intimità, come solo le cose "vecchie" sanno ancora emanare.
Old things lain in the attic and forgotten in the basement. Covered with dust and spoiled by carelessness of time. James Plumb (Hannah Plumb and James Russel, couple in art and in the real life) finds them, studies and assembles them, creating objects that are "new" both in the shape and in their function.
His creations are called "assemblage", because they are different pieces melt together in such a creative way that only a genious mind could think about. They could be born in a different way.
Full of the charm of the past, these furniture, both luminaries or furnishings, where places, create a warmth and cosy atmosphere, as only old things can give off.
