Vecchie ottomane, cuscini impolverati, arazzi stanchi appesi ai muri di case abbandonate, arrotolati in soffitta o depositati in buie cantine. Frederique Morrel li recupera e ne crea sculture, mobili e trofei, bizzarri e divertenti. Mobili ed animali ricoperti di arazzi dunque. Per dare loro un piglio colorato e spassoso.

E così alci, daini, cavalli si rivestono di manti dalle trame, fili e tessuti variopinti.
Le stoffe ricamate il più delle volte raccontano scene di vita bucolica, affiancate a vignette cartoon. E l'accrocchio è insolito e spassoso.

Una nuova forma d'arte dunque. Che dà vita ed espressione nuove a vecchie stoffe ed arazzi.

Old ottomans, dusty cushions, tired tapestries hung up on walls of abandoned houses, rolled up in the loft or left in dark cellars. Frederique Morrel recovers them and creates weird and funny sculptures, pieces of furniture and trophies. Furniture and animals made with tapestries then! To make them colored and hilarious.

In this way mooses, deers, horses are covered with mantles of multicoloured weaves and textures.
Embroidery fabrics often describe bucolic scenes, together with sketches. And the result is an unusual and funny melting pot. 

A new art form that brings to life and give new expression to old fabrics and tapestries.
