Fulmineo. Invisibile. Eppure fotografo rapace. Alfred Eseinstaedt fu maestro assoluto dello scatto rubato e pertanto, maggiormente rivelatore. Il suo occhio fotografico sembra arrivare di soppiatto, discreto se non addirittura non visto e cogliere la vera natura dell'essere umano.

Ne sapeva molto lui, di libri. Aveva trascorso la sua vita tra libri abbandonati per decenni in biblioteca e li aveva visti andare e ritornare, presi e restituiti da lettori comunali.
Solo così, solo se letto, un libro tornava a vivere. Altrimenti era una cosa morta, inutile.
C'è chi invece, come Su Blackwell, fa nascere altre storie dai libri. Storie di carta.

"Unless they are taken away from the readers, books are really dead things". It's Lawrence Clark Powell speaking, librarian and author of more than 100 books. He knew a lot about books. He passed the whole life among books left for years onto the shelves of the library and he saw them going and coming back, taken and brought back by council readers.
Only in this way, only if read a book could come back to life. Otherwise it was a dead thing, a useless one.
