Il giro d'Italia ha iniziato la sua corsa. Per gli amanti delle due ruote, del solo gambe, fatica e sudore e di un manubrio ricurvo. E' la Tour Chair di Rui Alves.

Una poltrona su cui i veri appassionati della bicicletta amerebbero accomodarsi solo al termine di una lunga e faticosa corsa in bici. Come premio dopo tanta liberatoria e vivificante fatica.
O un'opera di design, da esporre in studio insieme alle coppe, alle medaglie, alle maglie indossate e vinte. Un cimelio.
Questo lo spirito con cui il designer Rui Alves, cultore della bicicletta, ha voluto dedicare una seduta a questo nobile ed onorabile sport. Un oggetto che ricorda in tutto e per tutto una due ruote: i manubri ricurvi e ricoperti di tessuto, come nelle storiche bici da corsa e la sella in cuoio, qui appositamente ingrandita nella forma e nelle dimensioni e supportata da un telaio in metallo.
Mancano solo le ruote.
A chair where real bike lovers would like to sit only after a long and hard ride. As a reward after a so liberating and invigorating effort.
Or a piece of design, to show in studio together with cups, medals, shirts worn and won. A trophy.
This is the spirit the designer Rui Alves, bike lover, dedicated this seat to this noble and honorable sport for. A work that reminds of a real bike: hunched and clothed bars, as in the typical race bike and the leather saddle, enlarged and supported by a metal frame.
It only lacks two wheels.
